OMG I'm Back Again.

OK...so my last post is dated more than a year ago. Needless to say I got caught up with things and completely forgot about this blog...until today. Imagine my suprise when I come to find that a good number of people checked out my blog! Who would've thought? So I've decided to pick up where I started and try to blog about some great edible food finds that you can order and hopefully won't bust your wallet open. I'll begin blogging shortly once I find some great sweet spots. And yes, the title for this blog does in fact refrence the Backstreet Boys- it's a funny song (With an even funnier video). Don't fight it. It was the 90s. Many things went wrong in the 90s. Furry. Animal. Backpacks. Need I say more?

Valentine's Day Savior

QUICK! It’s almost Valentine’s Day and Russell Stover’s Chocolate just won’t cut it anymore. We’re not 12 with financial backing to boot. So what do you do?

Click to Vosges Haut Chocolate (http://www.vosgeschocolate.com). Vosges has many different varieties of chocolates that are sure to excite and spice up your partner. The Aztec V-Day Collection is not only designed to rev up your system but 10% of the sales go to support VDAY. VDAY is not just the abbreviation for Valentine’s Day but a day for women everywhere to take a stand on violence against women and girls in Juarez and remember those who have been lost and those who still need help. Showing the women in your life that you support social causes that benefit women never hurts.
For the trendy gal in your life, there’s the Hip-Hop Truffle Collection that would make P Ditty green with envy. These white chocolate truffles contain Krug Champagne and edible gold leaf. If that’s not enough bubbly sweetness for you, there’s the Gatsby Truffle Collection which has “Daisy” chocolates (containing rose champagne, rose water, white chocolate, and pink rose petal) and “Gatsby” chocolates (containing brut champagne, dark chocolate, and a red rose petal). I’d skip the $220 Limited Edition Lucite Box and instead opt for the $111 Gatsby and Daisy 9-piece box paired with Joseph Perrier Brut Rose Champagne if you’re already willing to dish out the big bucks.

Vosges has other specifically paired alchohol and chocolate gift sets too- none too cheap though. The most expensive is the Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvee and Exotic Truffle Collection with a $325 price tag to the least expensive Schloss Vollrads QBA Riesling 2005 and Milk Chocolate Truffle Collection for $81. Unfortunately due to shipping regulations these gift sets cannot be shipped to Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Montana, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Utah. Talk about VIP Cuisine.

Vosges also has Flaming Hearts for the sweetie in your life that isn’t just made of sugar and spice and everything nice. These hearts come in three flavors and look similar to a large flaming heart tattoo that you’d catch a glimpse on somebody’s arm riding a 100 MPH hog. If your partner’s more into Caramel they have a beautiful 36-piece 4-Tier Exotic Caramel Collection Hatbox ($74) that she’ll probably want to hold onto even when the candy’s gone. There’s also a 2-Tier Hatbox for $37, and a Bapchi’s Caramel Toffee Heart Box for $15, as well as a Love Tower (two heart shaped boxes filled with exotic chocolate truffles and caramel toffee) for $58.

Believe it or not, there’s a TON more chocolate gift boxes to sort through: some have a yoga booklet included, some have Barcelona and Napa Valley Travel Guides attached, paired up with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Hatboxes that infuse practically all their products into their gift sets.
If you’re looking to propose with a nice romantic evening at home, you could always hide a ring inside one of the Daisy or Gatsby Mini Party Cakes ($50 each). Check it out for yourself while there’s still time to ship.

Respect Served Cold and Creamy

Gelato, Ice Cream, THICK Ice Cream…words that melt in your mouth. How many times have you and your friends gone to ice cream stores and supermarkets and thought: If only they’d changed…If only they’d added...How many drugs were they doing when they came up with that flavor? Now you can make your own flavors for friends, family, and maybe even yourself.

At eCreamery.com you can make your own concoctions in four quick and easy steps. First you pick out the base, then up to two flavors and toppings, and then name your ingenious contribution to the Frozen Sweets world. They have EVERY flavor imaginable (even, um, Avocado if you’re in the mood), making picking out which particular combination you want the hardest part. Luckily, you can always get another carton. You know, for when you have guests. You wouldn’t want to be a bad host now would you?

Thankfully for everyone’s waistline the products are pricey, so this isn’t something to be swapped with Hagan Daaz or Ben and Jerry’s. This is more like the Ice Cream you pull out when your mother-in-law and your pesky Martha-Stewart-wannabe sister-in-law come over to visit and critique your homemaker abilities. Respect doesn’t come cheap, but it tastes really good.

Sweet

EVERYTHING nowadays in online. Napkins even have a URL! The problem with the World Wide Web is that it’s WORLD WIDE. It’s HUGE! Type something into a Google search and you get tons of pages to cipher through- most of which are irrelevant anyway! Don’t waste you’re time. This is your one stop website for the best Sweet Spots on the web.

Let’s be honest- everyone loves getting a little sweetness in the mail…what kind of sweetness that is, is entirely up to you. However, this page will help serve up the best (non-X-rated) options. Want some sugar? Come here.
